This Privacy Policy explains how Galapagos Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN holder, "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and stores personal information through the SmartFarm Training website at https://smartfarm.training, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What personal information we collect

The current directory does not collect learner enquiry details, enrolment information, funding details, or training preferences through on-site forms. Provider contact links send you directly to the listed provider.

The limited information we may collect includes:

Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referral source, and device/browser information collected via analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Consent records — timestamps and version identifiers for cookie or analytics consent you provide.

3. How we collect personal information

We collect personal information:

Automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you browse the site.
Directly from you only if you contact us outside the website, such as by emailing the privacy contact listed below.

4. Purpose of collection

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Note on state-subsidised training: The directory does not collect or refer learner subsidy details. Confirm subsidy eligibility directly with the training provider before enrolling.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some service providers (e.g. Google, Cloudflare, Netlify) may store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers comply with obligations substantially similar to the APPs.

7. Storage and security

We store personal information in secure, access-controlled systems. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include:

Access controls limiting who can view personal information.
